What Tools Should I Get For My Window Cleaning Business?
Ask a Pro
Whether you’re starting a window cleaning business, already have one, or just want to buy some window cleaning tools, it can be overwhelming to know where to start. A good place to start would be to ask some professional window cleaners who have years of experience for advice on the subject.
You may or may not personally know a professional window cleaner. If you do, why not ask them if you can get some advice over a coffee? If you don’t, you can always ask me in the form of a comment below this article.
Research Online
Another way you can get a professional window cleaner’s advice would be to read blog articles such as on this website. You could also watch videos shared online experienced window cleaners. Even though I’ve been doing his for 10 years, I still learn tips and tricks from viewing other window cleaners videos.
I also have learned a lot from physically working with other window cleaning pro’s on the job. It’s amazing how you can learn things from each other that can save you time, money, and energy when on the job. You can also learn the pros and cons of various brands of equipment by using them on the job or viewing someone’s video review. (In time I’ll be sharing reviews of different brands of equipment I use on my YouTube channel.)
Visit Suppliers Websites
If you don’t know any professional window cleaners where you live, you can always go online to various websites to view different types of equipment and read reviews.
Here are a few window cleaning supplier sites that feature and sell a wide variety of window cleaning tools and equipment you can check out:
www.squeegees.net
www.windows101.com
www.window-cleaning-supply.com
You can easily search online for any of the following window cleaning brands I have used personally for more info:
- Sorbo
- Unger
- Pulex
- Ettore
- Tucker
- Gardiner
Start With One Brand
I have personal preferences for the types of products I use when on the job and I’m always open to trying out new ones I haven’t used before. Your preferences may be different than mine, yet if you’re just getting started you need to start with something. Later, you can use this as a reference point for types of products you choose to use at that time.
My suggestion would be to start with one brand of tools. In time as you get used to using a tool and you have earned some money with it, you can reinvest some of your income into trying out a different brand. You can repeat this cycle as many times as you like and build up quite a supply of different types and brands of equipment.
Read and Share Product Reviews
You may even choose to share your pros and cons in the form of a review on a website, blog or in a video so others can benefit from your experience and knowledge. In time I will be sharing reviews of products I use on this blog and on my YouTube channel.

Bravo for having your own business! And good advice about asking a pro and researching. When I tried selling Mary Kay, I did none of that. Of course, I didn’t succeed.
You are still a champion! 🙂
Ah some really good thoughts!
Thanks for your support Sophie! 🙂
