5 Reasons to Have A Website For Your Business

There are many options available to you when starting a website for your business.
1. There are free options.
2. You can host your own website with a hosting company.
3. You can hire someone to do it for you.
(The last option can be the most costly and you may not get what you want unless you have a large budget.)

If you’re new to building a website from scratch, the first option would be a great place to begin. Once you get more comfortable with option one, you may choose to build and manage your own website.

Here are some good reasons for having a website for your business:

Virtual Store Front

When you have a website for your business, it’s like having a store that’s open all the time.  People can have a look and browse your products and/or services any time of day.  If they are sincerely looking to buy or hire, they will get in touch with you.

You Will Attract Customers

I read an article recently that described inbound marketing as a method of attracting customers to your website.  When people search for a solution to their problem they will find your website.  (As long as you have posted content full of keywords related to their search.)

You Can Control the Content

You don’t have to be very tech savvy to blog.  If you know how to write and send an email, you can definitely learn how to set up your own blog website.

When you write and post an article on your blog, you are creating content online that will show up in search engine results when people search for certain topics or questions they might have.

You Control the Key Words

The more knowledge you share on your website/blog related to your business, they more likely your website will organically show up on the first page in searches. Be sure to include the city names (keywords) you are doing business in where you would like to get customers.

When you write articles and web pages on your website/blog, include key words that relate to your business throughout the content.  Don’t over do it though.  Be reasonable in the amount of specific key words you are using.  Make sure your content is readable by a real human being.

You Can Showcase Your Products and/or Services

As website software just keeps getting better, it’s is becoming easier to feature photos and videos of your products on your website.  You can even add text to your photos easily with free photo editing software.

If you need help in learning how to post a YouTube video on your website, you can simply search “how to embed video on my website.” There is tons of helpful how to videos online that will walk you step by step through the process of posting videos and pictures on your site.

These are just a few good reasons to start a website for your business I have shared.  Can you think of any?  I’d love to hear your thoughts in a comment below.  Please hit one of the share buttons if you enjoyed this article and as always, thanks for reading!
